Q: Do I need a marriage certificate or any other documents to file for divorce?

A: No, no documents are required.

Q: Does my spouse have to go with me to your office?

A: No, we will mail all documents to your spouse for his/her signature.   Occasionally spouses do come to the office, however, to expedite the process.

Q: Will my case be filed in the court closest to where I live?

A: Possibly, but not necessarily.   Virginia law permits a divorce to be filed in any court in the state, so long as neither party objects.   With your consent, we will file your divorce in the court which allow us to process your case the fastest .

Q: How is your Law Firm able to complete a divorce so quickly, when other attorneys say that a divorce can take 4-6 months or longer?

A: Our speed in obtaining divorces is due to:

1. highly specialized software with which we can prepare legal documents quickly and accurately.    This software was developed by our Law Firm and is not available to other attorneys.

2. Years of experience from handling thousands of divorce cases.

Q: Why are your fees so much lower than other attorneys' fees?

A: Many attorneys who have a general practice may handle only a few divorces a year.   Our Law Firm handles many hundreds of divorces each year.   We have devoted 12 years to streamlining the divorce process.   Because we can do the work faster, we are able to provide our service at a lower fee.
