Are there any choices on how to complete the divorce?
We offer two options for completing your Virginia divorce: either a divorce by deposition, with no court appearance, or a divorce with an easy 2 minute court appearance, at which your spouse does not have to appear.

How long will the divorce take?
We offer a 3 week Virginia divorce, a 1 week Virginia divorce, and a 2.5 month Virginia divorce by publication. The fastest way to complete a divorce is with a simple 2 minute court appearance. For clients who cannot appear in court, we offer a divorce by deposition. The deposition can be completed at your convenience, and does not require an office visit. Although a divorce by deposition is not as fast as a divorce by court appearance, it is an excellent alternative for clients who cannot or prefer not to appear in court.

Will the attorney and staff be available/reachable?
Our attorneys and legal assistants are always available to answer your questions. Our office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are also in the office on Saturdays. In addition, we are always answering clients’ emails: before, during, and after business hours.

Without spouse's signature (by publication in the newspaper):

1. You have lived in Virginia for the last six months.
2. You and your spouse have been separated at least one year (or six months if you already have a written and signed agreement).
3. Your spouse lives outside of the state of Virginia - in any other state or country; or you are unable to locate your spouse after making diligent efforts.
